Lilly Pilly Organics improve supply chain efficiency and save over 9,000 minutes per year

Lilly Pilly Organics is a family-owned and managed business based in Yeppoon, Queensland.

Delivering a seasonal range of certified organic fruit, vegetables, herbs and groceries to the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast area, Lilly Pilly Organics are committed to delivering locally-sourced, organic produce from the farm to the community.

THE CHALLENGE

“For years, we’d used MYOB as our main system, but after realising that we were wasting valuable time keying in data twice, we started looking at ways to manage our supply chain more efficiently” said Jason Pfingst, owner of Lilly Pilly Organics.

“Packing orders from a print-out is a 20^th century way of working. It’s time consuming, costly and inefficient. We wanted to find a way for our business to move into the future and manage our supply chain with less paper and less double handling.”

THE SOLUTION

Nucleus Logic identified that Lilly Pilly Organics would benefit from using an online portal. Accessing and using live data for packing orders and managing stock means that the business has more flexibility and there is less double handling and errors. The Nucleus system also created automation, so reports are more easily accessed and based on the most current information. Lilly Pilly Organics’ customized e-Cart has all the functionality that the business was missing when solely using MYOB.

IMPLEMENTATION

Lilly Pilly Organics needed to integrate their finance and sales systems and improve payment processing. To do this, they developed their own e-Cart Nerve which integrated all of their online sales and stock management within the Nucleus platform. It automated many previous manual tasks and eliminated a great deal of double keying. The Nerve is the link between MYOB and Nucleus, seamlessly bringing the two together.
